BTW, have just started "Taking Comfort" and am thoroughly enjoying it - very post-modern and spiky. You also do women and their mindsets (to my knowledge!) very well - I am right there with your receptionist! I was just saying to my husband that your novel reminds me of Murakami, but more English-focused and sparse.
