Twisted Tongue are publishing my short story 'Under the Scarecrow's Watchful Eye' in May. This is all very good except I've just seen who else is contributing to the issue. They are a Frank O'Connor Short Story Award winner, Adam Shardlow, BBC writer and successful playwright, and another guy who just so happens to be the book reviewer for Third Alternative.
I didn't expect to be in such lofty company with my humble story, and feel a bit overawed by it - like a chimney sweep whose been mistaken for a gentleman.
Congratulations, JB, well done. In years to come all of those other writers will boast about having been published in the same anthology as you!! Don't take the story down too soon, I'd like to read it. I've been a bit intimidated to read your stuff before as I never read fantasy but I will.
