Hello, I wonder if anyone could offer an insight as whether it more normal for writers of arts and crafts (handicraft) books to develop relationships direct with the publisher or to use an agent? The W&A year book only shows one agent who actively lists arts and crafts as a subject – so does this mean that it is normal in this field to submit direct to the publisher?
