Luckily it didn't make it up this way. Unfortunately, Louisiana got hit real hard. Did you see those pictures of the Superdome? Katrina ripped holes in a huge NFL Sports Arena.

Nope, haven't seen any pictures as yet but listening on the radio the death toll suddely went from 55 to 80 with millions apparently without power.
Just shows how even the most advanced of us are totally at the whim of the elements. This is something we almost expect in the underdeveloped world and almost seem to blame them for, when it happens this 'close to home' we suddenly gain a new understanding of it and a realisation of how fragile our 'civilisation' is.
Glad you missed out, tho'.
