I got a message from James 4578 saying they are literary agents.
Does anyone know what this is all about?

When you say "got a message", do you mean email or wwmail? Either way, if you don't know the originator, I would say it was almost certainly spam.

Has he explained why he's contacted you/given you his contact details apart from a WWmail address? I'm pretty sure a genuine agent would do that right away.

It'd spam. No real literary agent works that way. You can delete it but if you want to report ot to David Bruce then do.

If you type

james 4578

into the Search box at the top of the Home (or many other) pages it will show you this partial member.

Several people over on Flash Fiction Group received the same one. James 4578 had joined as a part member on the same day, and obviously had a busy day!
