This year's shortlists for the 'books' have been announced. Like thousands of others, I was hoping they'd reveal the Short Story finalists today - but alas it's not going to be posted until next week!

Just realised there's a Competitions thread - which would have been a better place to post!

One day I will look at the list and realise I've read at least one of them! Until then I'll just hear what other WWers think of the shortlist.

lol, Sharley! I've read the Mantel and some of the poets' stuff but that's all. Like the look of "What's Up With ...?" children's book!
