Well-written review, and spot-on about the naricissistic music. In passing you mention STEPS as stealing the pop scene a few years ago, and maybe they did, but I did like STEPS though - Clare was a top class singer.

So how many things have you won for from this site now? Didn't you also get something for your batman review?

I will def check out this site and give some consideration to writing my own reviews, i could use some new CD's to my collection.

Two Cd's so far Julie. It feels a bit like a walk in the park, and helps the old writing CV. I just hope Exploding Boy doesn't become more popular than me!

(And I should add, the CD's you get are pretty much highbrow twaddle from artists you've never heard of, and never wanted to. But shhh...I love the Collective website but the BBC's 'prizes' are somewhat of a joke over there. The forums are equally as lively, however, films and books being a big talking point.)

Yar. Me and my big mouth. I work on the somewhat ill advised theory that you get the best out of people if you insult them. No, seriously, I can't help being so virulent, it's just how Satan made me.
I'm a really good laugh in real life...honest...sarcasm and irony doesn't translate so well, so I ditched it in favour of outright offensiveness. Much more fun.

The Exploding Boy TM predates any recent terrorist actions, I should add. It si merely a reflection of how flamingly reactionary I am sometimes. I'm a bit of a hothead.
