I am a new fan, after I started flicking through Write to be Published the other day and almost immediately found a gem of a passage about pacing being like breathing. So some chapters are in-out breaths (tension released, reader pauses), others are out-in (incomplete, cliff-hanger, reader desperate to turn page). When I read this it was like a light switch went off in my head - so clear and makes so much sense.

Her synopsis e-book is very good too, BTW. I'm an all-round fan, in other words...
