That's an interesting comp. Shows which way the wind is blowing in crime fic, apart from anything else...

Interestingly, when I went in to Faber to talk about the contemporary crime novel I ended up not writing, one of the things that was suggested to me was that I make the protagonist female.

Presumably a 'grizzly serial killer' is one that stalks Yellowstone Park and kills bears?
