Hey folks who are after an agent. I THINK this is specifically American, but still worth noting!

Mate, thanks for the link.
Recently I've known by a mate here, he said agents are pretty rude people. It's his experience. I think he's right cuz some agents are good some are bad -- I've heard this.
The blog has a grain of truth I think. Also I think the agents have a particular list of publishers, if they couldn't sell to them, they can't do anything. But I've question - why many agents have successfully sold the same Mss which were rejected by many agents? Am I right in thinking they're in contact with limited publishers, or they know a limited market, or is it because the gorgeous agents refused to sleep with the opportunistic publishers?
Another question which is bubbling in my head.
How could a son of B****/ a B**** of pig could claim royalty on self-published books when they have nothing to do with it??
No apology What have I said.
Not so. When I had an agent he was courteous and professional. Always. And whilst he was my agent I self-published a book that I had edited. Limited market, but still. There was never ever the slightest question that he would be involved in any way with royalties or monies or anything.
Furthermore he covered all the major children's markets with two of my books but was unable to sell them. He was supportive the whole time, his only flaw was that he was rather slow but then I was at the bottom of the heap.
I do not know who this report refers to but it is not the case that a professional self-respecting agent will act in such a way.
