Pedalo, the website designers who do a great many authors's sites (including mine) have launched a site called Discover Writers, including a lot of stuff about setting up your website etc. Obviously they're hoping to recruit, but there's plenty of advice going for free, and because they host so many writers, nosing round them is a good Cook's Tour of the possibilities for your own.
