I think the bit that's key, regarding queries, is this:

The question that we are answering: Do you want to represent this? The question we are not answering: Is this good?

This was not only interesting, but also very encouraging to all who have been rejected (7 times for me). My first time was the worst, but my last left me feeling empowered to continue!

I not only like this, I agree wholeheartedly. I know a few publishing friends, even one that works at Random House and another book publishers taking rejection pretty personally of late. It seems quite fitting
