Quarterly print journal based in the UK but its 120 perfect bound A5 pages showcase a powerful collection of up-and-coming international writers whose fire is destined to brighten the literary world. Get in on the ground floor and don't miss a single issue.

The likely profile for a contributor is someone whose talent is obvious, whose technique is finding solid footing and who is beginning to experience some publishing success. Some of the contributors are publishers or editors of successful independent press journals. Some have published, or are about to publish collections of their own works while others have been published in anthologies and even textbooks.

What kind of work are we looking for? First and foremost, we are looking for a good read – something that makes us sit up and pay attention. We will publish short stories, novel excerpts and poetry and poetry with commentary about its process. Where shorter works such as poetry and flash or micro-fiction are involved, we prefer to present mini-collections by a single author rather than solitary works.

If you know of a likely candidate, including yourself, please email us with the name of the magazine in the subject line and your submission included as an attachment to the email in one of these file extensions only: .txt, .doc, .rtf. Only electronic submissions will be accepted. We generally respond to all submissions within 30 days.

Yes, and we must support UK mags so we can use expressions like 'crikey' and 'gormless' and use cultural references such as The Archers and M&S.

Thanks, Nell and Dee, for the positive comments on Gator Springs Gazette (which has a predominately US subscriber base and is printed in the US). GSG as a legal entity is also a UK magazine, however.
