  • Olympia Publishers - thoughts?
by Petejanes at 10:24 on 13 November 2009
Hi all, I was wondering whether anyone on this forum has had any dealings with Olympia Publishers and if so, what their thoughts were? Or if anyone knows of them and has any opinions that they could share?

I use Olympia Publishers currently and, to be fair, they've been OK to deal with and have produced some good work for me. I just wanted to canvass some opinions as there isn't really much out there about them.

Oh and please be candid, just because I use them doesn't mean I'll be offended by any comments!

    Thanks!

It's not a publisher I've heard of, but a quick google threw up threads on other writers forums about it.
With reference to WW guidelines, above, it is not possible to reproduce those comments here.

On a general note, it's best to avoid any publishers who ask for money up front - legitimate publishers pay you, not the other way round.
Secondly - especially if they are a PoD publisher - check that they properly edit and proofread the mss (for free) before going to print, otherwise it is little better than self-publishing on Lulu.
