  • How long does it usually take to hear back from publishers?
by booky at 14:15 on 27 October 2009
Well, I'm now considering sending off details about my non-fiction book in the making to publishers to see if they might be interested in going with it - before I go down the self publishing route.

Does anyone know how long it usually takes to hear back from publishers if they are interested? Can it take many months or just a couple of weeks, I would be really keen to get going with it myself and seld publish if I didn't hear back.

It may be weeks, but it'll probably be months if it needs to go to committee.
I would get on with writing it while you're waiting.
