Hi all,
Not sure if this is the right forum for this question but wasn't sure where else to post!
Is there an industry term which you can use to describe the kind of non-fiction which is published in a series- particularly those which have a formulaic title such as 'How to find a career in ........' or '...... for Dummies'.
Does that make any sense?!? I need to refer to these publications in a book proposal I'm writing and the word 'series' doesn't quite convey what I mean.
Thanks
V
"Self-help" books?
Informally, I think, they are referred to as 'How-to' books, but in the library they are referred to as the 'Self-help section'
Um, I would call it a series, a reference series maybe?
Or an instructional series?
Series of self-help books - ?
