I am thinking of sending out a few short stories to magazines. They are literary fiction I guess.

Has anyone got any suggestions who I could submit them to either in the UK or abroad, paid or unpaid?

I was just about to recommend Duotrope - I use that quite a lot.

The only on-line publication than I can think of that pays is Pulp.net, but there are lots of decent ones that don't.
