    Hello everyone,

I sent a query email to a well known agent a while back and she was happy for me to send my first few chapters to her for review.

It has been over a month now and I am thinking about sending a polite email to follow up. The thing is , I haven't a clue how to word it without sounding too pushy. I know some of you have done this before and wondered if you could help?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Many thanks

    Eve

My advice would be to give her at least another month before you contact her again. It’s not unusual to wait three months for a response, and don’t forget they’ve all been busy with LBF in the last couple of weeks.

    Good luck!

Yup, wait at least 3 months, but, personally, even then I wouldn't bug them. Agents don't mind a follow-up email after a couple of months to double check if they have recieved the chapters, but hate being contacted about whether they have read it yet. As I found out, it's a sure fire way of having it returned in double quick time.
