Just had my first! I only submitted to one agent who requested the full thing, but alas, she rejected me..... :-( Though she was kind enough to give me criticism, although she managed to use the words heartwarming, funny and contrived in the same sentence!! :-)

Oh well, onto the next one! :-) I want a glass of wine..........

Rejection is a sad fact of life for most of us, so you may as well get used to it, and use it whenever you need an excuse for a treat.

Just bear in mind, you’ve done VERY well to get a request for the full on your first submission, so that’s worth celebrating.

That's very hopeful indeed for the future, however much wall-kicking or worse you feel like at the moment. It always stings, though.
