  • Picture book - submitting manuscripts

Hello, I'm new, so please be kind!

    I've got the writing bug - big-time.

Taking some kids to the local library, I was not impressed by many of the picture books, so I wrote a few of my own.

I've tested them on my friends' offspring and they went down pretty well. Obviously, I'd like to take it further, but I'm unsure of the best way. If I approach agents/publishers, is it acceptable to send 2 or 3 manuscripts (I'm only talking 1000 words each - I'm a sprinter not a stayer!) or should I just send one?

Double check the submission guidelines on each Agent's website. Some specify the number of stories they prefer per submission, and some don't. 2-3 stories sounds ok, to those agents that don't express a preference.
It is advisable to submit each batch to Agents first and, if they reject it, then to Publishers.
    Good luck.
