What wonderful news. Congratulations. And I love your approach. Can you tell us about the book?

Wow! Many congratulations and much respect, Stefland. Your story of sending out 47 submissions in one go is definitely one I'll remember.
Sorry if this seems a bit anal, but I would love to know what kind of time-scale the various agents came back to you on. (I speak as someone who sent out a measly six submissions last Wednesday - so far, one unexpectedly quick request for the full but nothing else as yet). Are we talking weeks? Months? Did they all come back in big batches or was it very much dribs and drabs? Hope you can indulge my curiosity!

I'm sure lots of people will disagree but I have to say, I like this approach!

Becky,
They came back in spits and spots. Some were quick to reject and others sat on the partials for months before responding with nothing more than a form letter.
Great news on your request for a full. I think that when you get to that stage that you know you have their interest at least.
I'm shot to bits at the minute. I got through two chapters of the next book in my series today - that usually takes me about four or five days. I'm going off to snuggle up with a nice book now.

Enjoy! Now you can relax a bit.

Well done. That's a huge achievement. Best of luck with the next bit.

Well done!
My experience was a little different in that once I found an agent, things were quite slow for me. But that was merely because we had the 'wrong book' at that time. Since I'd written the 'right one' things have gone really fast. From publishers saying yes till now... even though i still have 5 months left till publication date.
Enjoy it!
