I would really appreciate some help. I am a writer and a professional poker player and I have just landed a freelance gig writing a blog for a gaming site.

They have asked me to submit my rates as a starting point for negotiation by tomorrow - as this is new to me, I would strongly appreciate any guidelines. I have looked at NUJ web-site and it suggests £275 for a 1000 words of online content

The sites wants about 4 pieces a week and they would be about 200-400 words. Does anyone have any ideas or experience that might help? Should I use the pro-rata rate of the NUJ?

Any help, of any kind, would be greatly appreciated.
