I read somewhere that an author is just a writer who never gave up. I'm incredibly fortunate in that the publishing industry has seen fit to cut my sufferings relatively short. Some of you will recall my desperate scrabblings last year. The result is to be published by Macmillan UK in spring 2008. My novel is now known as "Sleepwalker's introduction to Flight" and, astonishingly, is available for pre-order on Amazon. Currently it sits at 390,000 in the best seller charts (ha, take that - "Mongolian in six weeks for Lithuanian business travellers")
That title has a real ring to it. Kind of like Cloud Atlas.
It's a little unreal seeing one's book on Amazon. I don't know what the sales rankings mean. Does anyone? Would be nice to think I've sold 80,000+ books already
