Thanks for that. I've just become a full member here and still finding my way.
It was great sharing your excitement with the book deal - my dream that would be....hmmm I got another brown enveloope back today after the post strike. I've had such mixed comments from agents. The main thing is to keep believing and not let creativity be sapped. How did you keep up your spirt after all the rejection?

Hi. Sometimes it was easier to do so than others (just look at my blog!) But you have to have that self belief thing - and this isn't arrogance. The good feedback along the way does help and if you can, sending the manuscript to a sort of 'book doctor' like Hilary Johnson (google her) can really help, too.
Also, writing isn't just what you do - it's who you are.
Now go off and write!

Thanks for the keep at it stuff...
Got a juicy request on Friday for the full typescript - the agents loved the sample... It' s my third second stage so I'm praying.
And today I won a ton of books in a random draw - am I on a roll or what?!!
How's your title going? there's a great piece in the new Myslexia about promoting your book - have you seen?

Well done! Keep praying. It will happen one day.
My title has been approved... it' called By The Time You Read this...

Back to you. the fact that three agents have expressed interest in the rest of the manuscript speaks a heck of a lot. They get loads of manuscripts a week and wouldn't have time to look at full length manuscripts, unless they see promise. Please take heart with this. You obviously have SOMETHING!
Whatever happens, keep plugging away!

It's got the curiosity factor and the personal second person address - I think it 's a great title. Are you working on anything else?

Hi all,
Funny you should ask... I am, but I have yet to find that 'bug' yet. I'm scribbling away at my newly purchased pink and girly notebook with ideas and they are there - I just have this habit of sitting and staring at the computer screen.
I'll get there though...

'ASKING' Long time no hear .. How did things turn out?

Ohmigosh Yellow Hair - great name!
I feel for you. Fustration is putting it mildly. its such a waiting game (just look at my 5 year blog!) but its oh so worth it in the end. The joy of seeing the work come together. I'm waiting for the first proofs and I can't wait for that. I've just written the little blurb that goes under the author picture in the book.
Such sprinkles of joy are hard to describe.
So believe me when I tell you, that the wait is.. oh so worth it.

PS -Yellow hair
You must be good if your agent is sending stuff out.
Remember that.
