After seven years of trying. Rejection letters galore and an ever expanding bum from all that sitting at the computer - it's finally happened. I have a deal and my book's due out in August 2008. I have had a chance to digest this and try to take things in (as it happened in May of this year) But just when I thought things had calmed, I get an email tonight from a friend telling me that I am on amazon.co.uk as a PRE ORDER.
OHMIGOSH I'M A PRE ORDER.
This seems so real now... Sorry for the babbling, I'm just so ... happy?
All that hard work, tears, rejection, work... it's all been worth it.. for all these sureal moments.
So sureal moment No: 3? - seeing your name on Amazon as a pre order.
That's brilliant! I remember reading your blog a couple of years ago, and more recently too. I'm so happy for you that it has all worked out. Congratulations!
Do you seriously still not have a title? Is your book on Amazon with just your name?
Good luck with your book, and keep us posted!

P.S. I didn't mean to sound shocked about the title - I'm just curious. I've only had a title for a relatively short while myself! :)
I actually had a title from day one (and this is on Amazon - The Manual) but the publishers want to change it as of last month and I'm fine about that. It's just getting the right title. It has to be right! I feel we are getting closer to that, maybe by next week?
Thanks for all your good wishes it is very much appreciated!!!!
