mean that they want you to send in the whole manuscript, without any previous contact??

Hmm, interesting, i've just looked at their website and they ask there for the first 3 chaps...?

I sent the first 3 chapters and synopsis as usual Casey a few weeks ago - I was rejected pretty soon afterwards!

I'm about to start it all again after submitting my first novel last year - it's a funny old mixture, isn't it, getting a rejection letter - blessed relief that at last you've heard something coupled with a genuine moment of disappointment.

Oh yes it's a huge rollercoaster - waiting, waiting - which I am so crap at - and then just wanting to hear anything at all, just so I had some contact.

At least for the second ones I remembered to include postcards so I knew they hadn't got lost in the post. Actually the second request for the full was written on one of the postcards.
