I'll be running a Writing for Publication workshop at Salisbury Festival on 1st June at 12pm. Cost £7.50 via festival box office.

It'll cover the nuts and bolts of getting journalism, non-fiction and fiction published including

* approaching editors
* how to get an agent
* the publishing process including advances, editing and covers
* business matters such as copyright and tax

I'm tremendously honest about the whole process, reveal nitty-gritty info such as how much my own advance was (for The Girls' Guide to Losing Your L Plates how to pass your driving test published by Simon and Schuster)and generally Tell It How It Is!

Will be available for coffee and chat afterwards if anyone would like one! Do come over and say hi if you come along.
