I've just added a promotional slide show for Unrequited to my My Space profile. It features a handful of the proposed book covers culminating in the final one. What do you think?
That's neat. Works well with the music track. Interesting to see the other proposals. I like the red one a lot, by the way. (Not to say I don't like the final cover!)
I also liked your You Tude videos for Taking Comfort and A Gentle Axe. I'm reading the former at the moment and really enjoying it.
The black and red cover is my favourite to be fair, but the publisher didn't go for it. Too post-modern? They felt the red and black thing has been done to death, and maybe they're right.
Cheers. It's how I myself envisioned it, yet the publisher didn't think it suited the book. I also suspect it doesn't exactly fit with their overall 'look'. Who knows, maybe one day I'll be able to release the novel in the original cover?
Taking Comfort is absorbing. I like the claustrophobia and the all-pervading sense of sadness. It's drawn extremely well. I've finished half the novel in two fairly hectic days if that's any barometer.
