Branching Out Guide to Independent Presses

which is a terrific listing, with plenty of detail, of independents from Tiny, via Small and Medium, to Faber, Bloomsbury and some US presses. It's really aimed at librarians, but it's just as useful for writers: there are far more than the usual suspects, with website and email links and examples of titles, and each listing gives a really good flavour of what each press might be likely to be looking for. Well worth a browse if you're looking for a home for your book, whatever sort it is.

I think it's one that can do with re-posting every now and again.

As is this: markets for writers, sort by all sorts of things including genre, poetry/short/long fiction, paid/unpaid, etc.
