Apologies if this is in the wrong place...does anyone know how one would go about creating a generic email?
I mean something like pest@pestcontrol.co.uk, rather than (e.g.) pest67@hotmail.co.uk
Thanks

I could be wrong, but I think you need a website to do that. For instance I own the domain name deeweaver.co.uk, so I could have dee@deeweaver.co.uk as my email address. Problem is, I still haven't managed to get the website up and running, (sheer laziness) so I can't use the email address yet.
Could be completely wrong though!

You need to buy your own domain name. Not sure if you can do it through hotmail, but most ISPs will let you do it.

Yes, that's right. .co.uk ones aren't expensive - about £30 for two years, as I remember. You can then put as many different names as you like@yourdomain.co.uk.
Dee, you can use associated email addresses without the website actually existing. Just go to the site you registered the domain name with, and change it to forward all email to your real (hotmail, ISP, whatever) email address. I had it like that so that things@... would work for a good year before I got www.emmadarwin.com up and running.

I'm just about to do this myself. I've found you can get domain names for £7.50 for two years if they're .co.uk, or £25 for .com. It includes web mail and email forwarding. Or so it says - I haven't tried it yet.
