Just wanted to wish a Merry Xmas to all of you that in these last couple of weeks have helped me in my initiation into promotional territory. A field you have to enter with all guns blazing to avoid your book being shot down in flames before a word is read. Your hints for my first interview re Pets in Prospect were taken on board. I'm now flying through seven more radio interviews with the latest a half-hour as guest on 'My Weekend' at BBC Radio Bristol on the 13th Jan.

Just to make it clear, I was joking about the age thing - only said cos I'm pretty sure I'm the baby of the bunch. They're not all like me, Malcolm. Most are much worse.
