Nearly choked on my boiled egg this morning when I heard my recently published novel 'Pets in Prospect' mentioned by Terry Wogan on Radio 2's Wake Up With Wogan. I was over the moon and haven't descended to earth yet.
-
Yes, I heard that too! Congratulations! 7 million people now know about your book.

Hi Emma. If only 7 million people would now buy the book. Actually I've just sent Terry a complimentary copy of Pets In Prospect as a 'Thank you'. Just hope he reads it. More important, hope he enjoys it. It's his type of humour so maybe he will.

Ha ha. EmmaD listens to Radio 2.

In love eh? Is it that Irish lilt. Or perhaps as he's older now, that should read 'tilt'.
-
He goes very nicely with sitting in a traffic jam on the way home from the school run and sniggering at the jokes. Until he goes into Daily-Mail-Reader-Old-Fart mode, when I revert to my normal listening, which is Radio 3.

I quite like the Daily Mail. Guess that makes me not only a boring old f*** but a sad one to boot.
-
Wow, congratulations on the mention. You're a household name!
-
That's amazing! What great publicity.
-
Luisa.......Household name uh? Like Fairy Liquid? Well...no..maybe Ajax or Mr Muscle would be preferable rather than a little squirt. Whatever the radio mention did get me in a lather. Sorry awful puns. Read my book for more pun..ishing one liners. The book's awash with them, Well at least sink about it while I keep plugging.

You should be on Cash In The Attic. They go for that sort of wordplay, big-time.

That's great!! How wonderful for you.

Thanks Moondance. It is a great start. But I've a mountain to climb as I'm just a first time novelist and as an unknown it's going to be extremely difficult to get in the public domain and find success for my book. So far all who have read it (and I don't mean just family and friends) seem to be genuinely pleased at the read. So it could go great guns if only.....I'll keep scrabbling up that slope as I'm determined not to give the boot in too soon.
