Absolutely IB. I don't believe that anyone else here was 'laying down the law'.
JB
I know, but it's only ever a message away.
Hi JB,
It's not one of those opinion kind of things. It's an idisputable matter of fact as much as the earth being round and the molecular formula of water.
Time is one of the fundamental SI units, it's just as real as mass or length.
SI Units
Geoff
I understand it on a scientific level, Geoff, but science has not touched the tip of the iceberg when it comes to time, so it's a bit remiss of you to propose that it has. Time is just the matrix that traps people within the machine and makes them slaves of fear. Scientifically, the laws of time break down on the lips of supermassive black holes and the Tesco check out queue, so go figure. It's hardly fixed, and neither is time, or anything about it.
In a holographic sense, time is an illusion. If the universe and its energy are infinite, and the soul is infinite, then what meaning can time have? The past and future do not exist. One is carried in your mind, one has not yet occured and never will, because when it does, it will be always be now.
Time is the incorrect approach to make sense of the multiverse, in my opinion, but then, I write science fiction occassionally, and read a lot of far out stuff, so I'll accept that we can't all see things the same.
JB
Here we go.
*grabs popcorn and sits back*
Yeah well, we're both entitled to have one.
JB
IB,
Once maybe but not anymore
"Logical arguments are the death of fools but arguing with fools is the death of logic."
Controversial....
Geoff
So Geoff, I'm curious (and getting back on topic), have you ever had a life before death experience?
JB
Only every minute of every day JB. I just wish more people felt the same way, it would certainly make the world a better place and maybe make people appreciate what is instead of hoping for what they wish would be.
Yes, but we must live and let live, for who can really say what is truth and what isn't? I'm not saying that you're wrong to hold a certain view, but surely we must allow for others, no matter how 'far out' they might seem? I'm not sold on these spiritual or esoteric ideas, but they do interest me. I reserve all my expectations until I actually snuff it and find out for sure. Still, if none of it is real, then living in hope and using one's imagination is much healthier for me as a person than living in doubt or outright scepticism.
