Hi all
I'm a director looking to adapt a short story into a short film and right now am open to anything you have that could work visually and in a less than 10 minutes short film format.
There's no money in it im afraid as ill be funding the project myself. If it's something you've written you'll be entitled to a percentage of any profits made but i have to warn you that it's very rare short films make any money at all!
I'm looking for either your own stories (you'll get a credit, a copy on dvd and an invite to the cast & crew screening) or classic, out of copyright, stories that you might have read and could recommend as something to update and adapt (you'll get a big fat thank you in the credits that way)....... anyone got any ideas?
I've been working through classic collections of short stories but there are so many, its very much an up hill struggle and your expert advice would be very much appreciated!
If it's one of yours I'm just looking for a 'pitch' at first. so, one or two paragraphs max
If it's something that i like the sound of, i'll ask for more...
It could be a fun experience so I hope it's of interest to some...
If you know of an out of copyright short story that might work then let me know the title and author and I'll go looking for it...
