I am starting out on a new project and need to come up with a name for my lead character. He is a demon who is among Satan's favourites. He can't be a demon from mythology/ religion as he is a fairly low level demon who is only temporarily in the devil's service. I just need a name that sounds good. Any suggestions?

Off the top of my head: Raptor, Malfactum, Mortus, Death-watch, Vilis

Either invent one, or try to find a "real" demon/deity/djinni who has the characteristics you require. I'd certainly recommend Fred Gettings' "Dictionary of Demons", but there are some fairly detailed websites - try here http://www.witchvox.com/va/dt_va.html?a=cabc&c=whs&id=8610

Colin, I plan to invent one. I have done some research into real demons for other characters in the novel, but my MC can't be from mythology/ religion etc.
