I was fairly hung over and still slurring when I typed that.
When my hangover was still producing acute feelings of guilt, I resolved never to drink again. Now it's a recent painful memory, I resolve never to drink quite so much again...
Prior to reading this thread I hadn't considered my goals for 2006, however, I've read through the comments in this thread and have enjoyed them, so I think it would be good for me to contribute by making a commitment to myself, no matter how small. Here goes:
Before 2006 has come to an end it is my intention to do the following:
1) Submurse myself in information about the period between 1780 to 1880 related to botany, the naming of things in the natural world, art, literature and exploration. After which I will nail down the storyline for the piece that is swirling around in my mind.
2)I will have contributed at least one short journalistic piece to my WriteWords journalist group.
3) I will create at least one watercolour artwork.
4) I will continue to develop and enhance the content of my cafe gallery in cyberspace, www.artuccino.com
If I achieve any one of the above I will feel pretty good.
Good luck everyone with the flow of your creativity in 2006. May the results lead to lots of happiness. I look forward to reading your work.

Ouch. That party hurt. I've only just emerged from my bedroom in someone else's clothes wondering what time/day/year it is.

Just to add to the sense of displacement, I've started reading a Ray Bradbury story, spaceships et al...all set in the dizzyingly impossible year of 2003.
