    To mark their 15th birthday, Vintage, in association with Foyles, have brought together some of their greatest authors as well as key publishing industry figures to celebrate writers, writing and the industry surrounding them. This is an incredible opportunity to quiz authors - both veteran and first timers, journalists and book experts including Vintage's Publishing Director, on all areas of writing and publishing - from a novel's first inception to the process of being published, from review and reader reaction to whether one can predict success.

    10.30-11.30am: Book Politics
    Vintage's Publishing Director Rachael Cugnoni and Marketing Director Roger Bratchell are joined by paperback expert Sarah Broadhurst to reveal some of the
    secrets of the trade. New author John Bennett will join in to tell his story, read an excerpt from and give out proof copies of his soon to be published novel Sea Otters Gambolling in the Wild Wild Surf. Chaired by Liz Thomson, Editor of the trade journal Publishing News.

    12.00-1.00pm: Book Club
    Allison Pearson, the best-selling author of I don't Know How She Does It, talks Jane Mays, literary editor of the Daily Mail.

    1.15pm: Sebastian Faulks will be signing copies of his latest novel, Human Traces

    2.00-3.00pm: Making Tomorrow's Classics
    Journalist and writer Francine Stock and authors Howard Jacobson (Making of Henry) and Adam Thirlwell (Politics) join chair Claire Armitstead, Literary Editor of the Guardian to discuss the eternal question of what makes a book a classic.

    3.30-4.00pm: Reading by Rose Tremain + prize draw

    Vintage publishes 10 Nobel Laureates and 11 Booker winners, countless bestsellers and modern classics, but do we know what makes books successful?
