    The Artist's Way is good -I still have my copy, though one corner was chewed off by our dog when he was a puppy!

    But even more, I recommend Becoming a Writer, by Dorothea Brande. She was the first to write about the inner artist - way back in the 1930's, and hers is specifically for writers. In fact, she's the one who first inspired me to write seriosuly, who gave me not only the faith, but the techniques to bring those stories out.

    I've never read either of those books, but The Artist's Way sounds fascinating. I'll have to check it out.
