Last night I ran a workshop with some novelists at City Uni MA. I used some cards from a Frans Masereel woodcut 'novel' - a story without words. The idea was to get them to order scenes in a way that built, looking for conflict, obstacles blah blah. Actually the idea was to have something they could get into which didn't involve me talking all the time. They seemed to enjoy it.
