My recommendation for NaNo success... do your Christmas shopping now, before the start of November. I did a wodge of mine online this afternoon... 4 of the 7 people I need to buy for.
Are we ready?
Have we done the bulk of our Christmas shopping?
Have we made the cake?
Have we worked out a plot in any shape or form?
Did we sleep in this morning so we can stay up late enough to start writing at midnight?
lol, Dee. My dad's already made the Christmas cake. And he's Muslim. He just likes eating.
I think I might actually sign up for this. It is very good timing for my literary festival teen novel.
I don't know what i'm going to write but I do have some ideas.
I do want it to have a historical element.
I am interested in doing something with Victorian fairies (I mean the Richard Dadd sort...) in it.
I am contemplating working in bits of The Tempest because that is a cool play.
I do not want it to be a 'kids go back in time and meet William Shakespeare' story because that's so dull(at any rate, in any way I can imagine it).
I do not want any actors turning up in it. I want no plays at all.
I am unclear what any of the above may have to do with my theme, which is 'Hidden Stratford'.
OMG I didn't realise it began tomorrow!!
I am signed up as steerpikessister.

Bloody hell, I'm actually feeling a bit intimidated here. I mean, I've done no research yet, got no characters in mind, nothing. Just a word length, a vague theme, and a sort if idea of Victorian fairies.
:-o
Sounds intriguing Leila. Have added you as a buddy.
Talked through a sticky plot point with hubby this morning - he was too tired to protest - and feeling more positive about it now.
He then asked if I'd like to hear this great idea he's had for Stargate Atlantis....
I've checked and I'm definitely damaged on there. Please be my buddies.
Haven't written anything yet...have done a bogpost for it on Strictly...so that's 600 words. Does it count?

blogpsot, even...though toilets and my current wip make fine bedfellows.
Hope everyone got off to a storming start this morning. I've got 2,000 words done so far, and all I had to begin with was one central character. I'd love to keep going, but have to devote the rest of the day to rewrites.
