Good to see you've taken the plunge, Dee.

Hoping to have time to sign up this weekend, in which case I'll be NaomiM unless someone's pinched it already....maybe I should pop over and check.

Get in there, Naomi. It only takes a split second!

Sounds as if NaNo is becoming an outpost of the WW empire.

    My Nano name is Damaged.
Does anyone apart from Emma have an idea yet?

I do. It's the same idea I've had for about 5 years and I still haven't found the way I want to write it. Am hoping NaNoNaNo will help me with that particular problem. I have to confess that I'm expecting bloody miracles to happen in November.

Helen, I tried Damaged but didn't find you.

I do too, and, like yours Sharon, it’s been kicking around my brain for years and I've had at least three abortive attempts to write it. I'm hoping Nano will somehow find the story that’s currently lost in the idea.

I have an idea and a rough plan for the whole story arc. It came to me in the bath a few weeks ago, just before I thought of signing up for NaNo, so that was lucky! I've written about a page of notes but I deliberately don't want to overdo the forethought because I think over-analysing is my problem. I want to (mostly) fly by the seat of my pants. I already have a working title and I've classified it as sci-fi although it's really more psychological thriller with a sci-fi element (John Wyndham rather than space opera).

Dee, I would love to be your friend and my id is scoobywriting. I'll search for the rest of you!

How bizarre... I seem have forgotten my own name. Or my left hand has, anyway...

I've found and friended Dee and Sharon, but can't find NaomiM or Damaged.

Just signed up as NaomiM, now searching for fellow WWers.

I have something I'm 20K into, so looking to write a big chunk of the middle in NaNo.

Added everyone except Cherys and Damaged, which didn't come up on the NaNo search.

I can't find Cherys or Damaged either... are you having us on, you two?

Not having you on at all. Wonder why you can't find me. Will go over there in a minute and try and befriend you all.

HB I have an idea - not 100% there yet but I want to get as much of it down as I can in November. Not written a line yet so it will be a real Nano novel, but have quite a strong sense of its direction.

How do you befriend people? It says you become buddies by visiting their page but how do you do that? If I type your names into the box they all come up as unfound. Is there a special area or link to click on?

Maybe I'm destined to be Cherys-no-mates for the entire month

Are you clicking on the Authors tab before typing in the names?

    <Added>

    I've found you now, Cherys.

Go to Search, then click Author tab and enter name, then find name, then click on name and look at their info, then click Add Buddy, and it will then ask you if you want to add someone as a buddy and you have to click Add.

So not a long-winded process then.... Ha ha ha...

There may be a quicker way to do it but I haven't found it.
