We've just had an email from a school:

'I am contacting you to ask if you know of any authors, writers, poets etc located in the West Yorkshire locality that would be willing or able to come into school and give a short talk/presentation to pupils about their chosen Careers and also the importance of English language and it application in modern day life. As I am sure you are aware that Business has often complained about the standard of school leaver's English and feel that an inspirational talk by a published author would give pupils the motivation and commitment to their studies. I would appreciate any help you can give me in this matter.'

Anyone fancy doing this? if you feel you have the right credentials, then post here and I'll send details on to the person in question. It's a Catholic girls school by the way..
