Anyone think of a famous bald person either out of history/myth/legend or contemporary? But not recent past, ie not Yul Brynner or Kojak.
Thanks

Duncan Goodhew, Patrick Stewart, Sean Connery, Bruce Willis. Porbably loads more if you were to sit down and have a good think.
Why do you ask?

Thanks Geoff,
It's for a nickname or jibe for a bald character. But it's got to have something about it I can't describe exactly. Those don't quite do it, but thanks for the help.

I used to have a friend who we started calling the swede because whenever he shaves his head he says he's shaving his swede. Plus all the variants on it like Stockholm, krona, and just about anything or anyone from Sweden from Dolph (Dolph Lungren), to ABBA and Roxette.

Buddha ?

Gorbachev? Lenin? Churchill was pretty bald too - must be something to do with running a state.

Yeah but Bush has all his hair... ah.
Thanks Emma, Lenin might do, fits in other ways too.

I've been receding since I was in my late teens, so I’ve been ribbed for my lack of hair for quite a while.
The worst was when I was only twenty and somebody at my office stood behind me as I was sitting at my desk and asked “How long have you been riding a motorcycle to work?”
Puzzled, I replied: “I don’t. I come on the Tube.”
“Oh,” he said. “So why are you wearing a crash helmet?”

That's horrible, Beadle :-(
My commiserations!

How come, even when you see the joke coming on the third line, is the punchline of that still so very, very funny?
Thanks.

Yeah. You're not bald though. (probably)
I also yelled at a guy who cut in front of me in a traffic jam once, forcing me to brake violently.
He stuck his head out of the window of his car and shouted "well at least I'm not bald!"
There really is no reply to that. Chalk one up for him.
Baldist, man, String 'em up.

This bald character has heroic qualities in a quiet way. He's from Barnsley.

I think David Beckham made bald heads sexy, remember when he shaved all his off? And the Mitchell brothers.
My hubbie has his hair shaved to within a mm of its life, and although certain family members think it looks a bit NF rough, i love it.
I think it's far more acceptable to go bald now. As long as you don't so what that presenter of Call My Bluff did, and comb any remaining long strands over.
