Thank God there are still some sane, honest people around with respect for truth, decency and science. I hope this gesture gets lots of publicity.

Good for him!
I shall buy his book.

It's a noble gesture. Sadly, I suspect that the people it's aimed at wouldn't know the truth even if it came all bound up in a nice fat dossier.

Too true, Smudger. Still, I'm sure it will mean a lot to Dr Kelly's family.

Good Lord! How admirable .... and how soon we've all forgotten the Dr Kelly episode. Now, when someone answers 'I haven't got a clue' to the question, 'How many illegal immigrants are there in this country at present?' we take it as being just one more example of the arrogance of this govt.

That was interesting, Anna. I'm related to Faraday, but there is some funny stuff about him, I think. I was a scientist myself once, and the business of 'truth', which you can so easily call 'interpretation' is the most vital tightrope that any of them have to walk. But in the science world it isn't necessarily those who stay unswearvingly on course that 'make it'. Not so far removed from writing. I am delighted at what I read though.
