I didn't really know where to post this, but I wanted to register my disappointment that the wonderful Oneword radio station has been shut down. There never was such a friend to book-lovers: the drama and discussion it broadcast was first rate, and it gave exposure to authors who often found it hard to get a mention anywhere else in the media.

I'm absolutely gutted.

Really sad - they had so much good stuff.

This is so sad - I despair of so much that goes out on our radios and televisions. It's such a shame that the mass market tends to accept such a low level of uninspired dross. Oh well... my local arts centre has also just closed down and that had some wonderful stuff going on from drama and music to comedy nights and films... just not supported or popular enough...

So - if we want to be popular writers we know what to do ... a novel based on Eastenders or Corrie and a bit of Jeremy Kyle thrown in! Sigh.
