First of all, a big thank you to everyone who read and commented on the two versions of the first section of this (uploaded as PFTG Version 1 and Version 2). As you know, I was considering re-writing it in first-person but now I think I’ll stick with POV3.

The section I uploaded last night, called ‘Paying For The Gallery’ follows directly on from PFTG Version 1 (the one written in POV3)… confused yet?

All comments and suggestions to improve this will be much appreciated.

Just realised it looked horribly clunky in that format so I've spaced it out a bit. Hope that makes it more inviting...

Just to add to the confusion... I've now deleted PFTG Version 2 (the one written in first-person) and re-named Version 1 as Chapter 1 - Part 1.

Well I know what I'm talking about...

Hi Dee - as I said in the comments I was interested in the definition of the genres... 'romantic thriller' and 'mystery romance' and continuing the discussion here if you would allow me to?

To quote one definition of a Thriler...
'a story that starts with a serious problem, a protagonist (our hero/heroine) who tries to solve the problem only to find that it gets worse and worse and worse. The plot rises to a dramatic confrontation with the antagonist (bad guy), usually on the bad guy’s territory, and ends with a short denouement (wrapup).'

Is this what happens? Or do you have a different definition?

As to 'Mystery Romance' that could be looked at later.

oh by the way - I see you did ask for good and bad comments above - I must have translated that to 'good cop' 'bad cop'. :o)

Great idea, Andrew but do you think it might be better if we start a new thread? I’m quite happy to discuss it on here but I think we might have more input from others if they don’t think it’s just me banging on about something I’ve uploaded…

ok great idea - I am happy with that too, as I would like to try to get to grips with this genre thing on a wider basis... will try and keep the thing focussed but flexible.

I've had some great feedback on chapter 2 so far - many many thanks. I've just ammended it in line with most of your suggestions... any further comments will still be very much appreciated. Might upload a bit more later if I feel brave enough.

I uploaded Chapter 3 yesterday and have just amended it which, I'm afraid, has made it longer. Blame Wordy! She suggested introducing a little confusion when Philly and Emma are waiting for the new owner of the hotel.

I've just written it this afternoon so would appreciate any feedback you can give me.
