Just to let you know (Jumbo) that I've deleted the first chapter to this and added another one at the end. I think it reads slightly better. Look forward to hearing your comments.

Goodness, there's no stopping you once you get started!
I read Terry's excellent advice on Sins and there are definately some things which could apply to this one too. I will comment properly anon.

Sorry to be a pain! But with all the chopping, deleting, editing, tweaking and hairpulling - what were my first three chapters of 9,000 odd words dwindled down to about 6,000.

I've now sorted the chapters out and would be really grateful if those who did comment on it have a look at Chapter 3 as it's new. Those who haven't read or commented...please do!
