I uploaded the first chapter of a novel I am currently working on, provisionally called "Higher and Higher", to the archive. I'm going to be uploading the next 2 chapters over the next week or so, and I would appreciate feedback, both on the individual chapters and on all 3.

The key questions I would like answered are:

Does this work as the start of a novel?

Would it compel you to want to read on?

What picture does it paint of the two main characters?
