Help! I'm getting addicted to this site. It's about five seconds since I posted a piece of work and I've checked three times already to see if there are any comments about it.
Help! Is there a remedy?

Don't worry, that's natural, just give in to it. I'm exactly the same, now that I have broadband I'm doing a hundred things at once all whilst trying to get some writing done. Hot or Not is a site I'm particularly stuck on right now.

Checki it out but be carefully, it can be awfully addictive.

You might even spot me on there.

Remedy is there none. It's the nature of the beast: 'curse, bless me now with your fierce tears, I pray', as the godly DT sang. I've tried to wean myself off this site, & it's feckin' impossible! If you care about your craft, this is the shining womb and tomb of the internet. Love it and live with it; I can't get enough.

Hehe. I'm handling the addiction well. I've been steadily reducing the number of work-pieces I've been uploading, and only really check the site 2/3 times a day.

This is probably due to me not writing much at the moment though.

You must have come across some real beauties because there can be some awfully rough pictures on that site.

Try uploading your pic and see how you do! I uploaded mine and have had quite a few 7,8s and 9s but there are hundreds of 1s and 2s! To keep my ego afloat I like to think that they're all from me who

A) haven't got the gist of the site
B) are intensely jealous of my natural beauty and so try to undermine my confidence by posting blatantly fraudulent scores!

I know I have a white chin but it's a passport photo so it's bound not to be great!

I averaged a 7.5 last time I looked on Hot or Not. It wasn;t a very flattering picture though.

I'm so glad it's not just me. I spend hours on the site and have ticked all the email notification options but still check constantly to see if anyone has looked at my work. The only thing is, I haven't managed to do any of my revisions today because I've been on the site so long. Oh well... there's always tomorrow.

That could be the basis of a good story. The guy loads up his photo only to receive nothing but Zero scores; then, out of the blue, he gets one 10! Subsequently the 'Absolute Zero' guy meets the '10 Lady', and so...

I'll not bother as I would put all those handsome, young, healthy, rich, famous, talented, amusing, considerate, generous guys into the shade... my Modestly forbids it.
