What's not to get? It's a quick-witted comment that only a commedy mind like Ben's could conceive. I read it as Jimmy Carr would say it, and it made me laugh.

Yeah, that got me too. I just used the site search for 'birdflu' and got there. Apologies to Ben for not commenting on it yet. I don't usually read Theatre work, and it's pretty hard going for me.

Enjoyable scenes and it is a pity that we could not hear the music. It follows the pattern of your previous 'snippet works' but I thought the way you linked them to the burdflu theme was very good.

With over 100 hits on this thread, I'm surprised there's not one comment on the piece itself (other than yours here, Len).

I only wrote it for a bit of fun, but I would still like to know what people think of it. Honestly, it's not like I'm going to carve my heart out with a spoon if someone says they think it's terrible/ stupid/ pathetic.

I got the impression you'd kind of written it for fun, so read it in that vein, rather than in critique mode. I'm guessing other people have kind of done the same maybe? I did enjoy it and it made me laugh, though! And I think it's a great idea.

Has anyone seen that bird flu e-mail that's going round? It's a photo of a load of birds (geese or something) and one's going 'Aa-choo!' and another's going, 'Very funny, Dave.' Made me laugh, anyway.

Hi Cath,

thanks for commenting on the piece. I did right it for fun, but when it's sat there without a comment against it I do worry about how it's been received. Whether people liked it but didn't say, or absolutely hated it and didn't want to offend.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that I'm one of the ones that doesn't see the harm in a comment that just has a smiley face and says that made me laugh/ smile. Even better if they pick out bits that really worked or didn't. But no comments turn me into a paranoid freak.
